Dottie Levy grew up in the state of Mississippi. She is the second oldest of fifteen children. With so many siblings she and her eldest brother were forced to take on great responsibility at very early ages in their lives which made the two of them very close.

Her parents were very young when they married; they were barely grown up themselves yet they loved each other and truly adored their many children. They were poor but knew how to manage what they had very well.

Dottie’s father was a hard worker and a wonderful provider for his family with the means that were available during those times. He was a truck driver for different companies. He drove from state to state hauling different kinds of materials to stores for people in business.

Dottie’s mother was mainly a home maker who took pride in taking care of her husband and her children. She was a wonderful wife and a very loving mother to her children.

Dottie grew up married and had two children of her own. Like her mother, she truly adores her children. She pushed three main themes with her children, loving God, working hard and a lifetime of learning. Today, her daughter has a Master’s Degree and works for a multi-national corporation and her son is a successful entrepreneur both have families of their own.

Always a voracious reader with a vivid imagination, Dottie travels with her husband and writes fiction to inspire her readers. In her own words “writing is her happy place.”
